Behind the Mirrors
A Play with Music by Harrison Lewis

All his life, Robert Brooks worked for corporate America, passing over his own artistic aspirations in favor of accumulating wealth and providing a better life for his adopted children. Now in his eighties, he suffers from advanced Parkinson's Disease, which limits his ability to speak. Behind the Mirrors follows his daughter Jessie as she navigates a mysterious family legend: after his diagnosis, Robert revealed that he had hidden away a large sum of cash somewhere in the Brooks' mansion, failing to remember the location. Inspired by real-life events, it explores the ways in which wealth can corrupt a family, asking the question: "Does money really buy us happiness?"
